The simple pencil is the cheapest and most underrated calligraphy writing tool we have. Often, we learn to write with it and then a lot of us forget about it. If we have, this is your opportunity to rediscover what a great writing tool it is. Rick frequently uses pencils in his sketch book and in finished calligraphy. He will demonstrate some techniques that may help you rediscover the simple pencil. No previous calligraphy experience is necessary and all materials will be provided. Amazing Letters await you.

Instructor: Rick Draffin a full time calligrapher who mostly works under contract to the Canadian Government. Rick enjoys teaching calligraphy at all levels and teaches 8 to 10 times a year at various locations. Rick happens to be visiting family in Comox, so we are lucky to have him teaching a workshop here!
