Beginner Cyanotype Workshop

Regular price $135.00
Unit price
per

Explore the fascinating world of cyanotype, a historic photographic printing process that uses sunlight and light-sensitive solutions to create striking blue-and-white images. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of preparing, exposing, and developing cyanotype prints while experimenting with natural materials and found objects to create unique compositions.

Guided by two experienced printmakers, you'll learn about the creative possibilities of this alternative photographic process and gain an understanding of how light, exposure, and composition work together to produce beautiful results. Participants will create 4–6 finished prints and leave with the knowledge and confidence to continue exploring cyanotype on their own.

This workshop is perfect for beginners, printmakers, photographers, and anyone curious about creative image-making processes. All materials are provided. Participants are welcome to bring a small selection of flat items such as lace, dried flowers, leaves, negatives, or other objects to personalize their prints. Suitable for ages 16+.
